    How to move the backup jobs and settings of Backup4all to another computer

    This article explains step by step how to move the backup jobs to another computer.

    If your old computer crashed and you can no longer access it:

    1. Install Backup4all on a new computer.
    2. Open in Backup4all the .bkc catalog files from the backup destination. The backup jobs will be loaded in Backup4all.
    3. Activate Backup4all on the new computer.
    4. You will be warned that the maximum activation number was reached, but you can reset the activations for that key from: https://www.backup4all.com/reset-request.html

    If you want to move all your backup jobs and Backup4all settings to another computer:

    1. On the old computer, create a new backup job using the Backup4all configurations plugin as backup source:

    2. On the new computer, open in Backup4all the .bkc catalog file for that job, from the backup destination. This way, the backup job will be loaded in Backup4all.
    3. Restore that backup job to get all backup jobs back in application.
    4. Deactivate Backup4all on the old computer from File->Licensing->Deactivate
    5. Activate Backup4all on the new computer on File->Licensing page.
