The following technical specifications are recommended in order to install and use Backup4all.
  • Processor running at 400 MHz frequency or higher
  • Minimum 64 MB of memory (RAM), 128 MB recommended
  • 20 MB of free hard disk space for application files plus 20 MB working space during installation
  • Microsoft Windows® 2008 Server, Windows Vista (with or withouth SP1), Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2000 and 2000 Server
Because the application uses zip compression, additional disk space is needed for the temporary directory. The amount of free space depends on the size of files to backup.

Note: Backup4all can backup open files only if installed on Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows Vista or Windows 2008 Server and if the files are on NTFS partitions. Backup4all works on Windows 2000 too but this feature will not be available on this systems.
