Lockergnome feature

Backup4all is a bargain

"Backup4all lives up to its marketing claims. It’s versatile, has all the features you need, and is easy to use. The beginner can easily get a good backup the first time. And the professional can tweak the program until his backup hums along exactly as he wants it to. It runs on every Windows OS from 95 to XP, too. From $25 - $45, depending on the version you buy, Backup4all is a bargain."

ProNetworks review

A wealth of features

"We were quite pleasantly surprised to find that Backup4all installed and worked well on the latest Vista release. While this is still a Beta Operating system, it is nice to see that this program seems to be Vista compatible and that it will even use the Vista Aero theme without difficulties."

Sofpedia pick

Rated excellent by Softpedia

"To be honest, I always say "I'll burn that backup folder someday this week" and the week passes without having my files backed up. With a program like Backup4all this issue can disappear, and the stress related to “what if my hard drive crashes” problem will disappear. I think that I'll leave the backup tasks for this program from now on. What about you?"

The Office Letter review

Backup4all is flexible

"You can’t be too careful about your data, and Backup4All does a good job using a well-designed interface, with plenty of bells and whistles for more experienced users. A "standard" version may be all you need if you don’t want e-mail notification or AES 128, 192, and 256-bit encryption."

The Backup4all Knowledgebase now includes video tutorials ( hosted on YouTube, you can subscribe to our channel here - http://www.youtube.com/Softlandro ) but even if we upload those in high quality, YouTube might deliver them to you in a lower quality format depending on the speed of your internet connection. To watch the video tutorials in high-quality here is what you can do:
  • If you have an YouTube account sign in, click on Account and go to Playback Setup. You'll have in there a Video Quality section with 3 radio buttons, make sure you select I have a fast connection. Always play higher-quality video when it's available. and click on Save Changes. Note that this will affect all the videos you'll watch on YouTube, not only those from our knowledgebase

  • If the above change didn't work (it doesn't sometimes) or you don't have an YouTube account, everytime you play a video in our knowledgebase if it's in a lower quality you can change it to High Quality by hovering over the last icon (with the reversed triangle in it) in the player controls (near the full screen icon, under the YouTube logo) and a slider will open where you can click on HQ.

  • If none of the options above worked, you can force YouTube into serving you the high quality format by adding the &fmt=18 parameter at the end of the movie url. For example, to force playing a video with this url, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-JglZqCeTM, in high quality, you would add the parameter and it will look like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-JglZqCeTM&fmt=18.
So how do you know you are watching a video tutorial in our knowledgebase in high quality? The screenshot below shows a difference between a low quality video tutorial and a high quality one:
