Definition: An automatic backup is a scheduled backup that runs automatically on a set schedule. Some backup applications, as Backup4all, includes schedule options. Backup4all includes two scheduler types: Windows scheduler and Standalone scheduler. The advantage of an automatic backup is that the user does not need to remember to run the backup or stop what they are currently doing to perform the backup.
